On July 27, 2016, China Machinery Enterprise Management Association sponsored and WorldExecutiveGroupundertook the launch event of 2016 Top 500 Machinery Industries in China and Top 500 Machinery Industries in the Would in Beijing. Evaluation model of enterprise competitiveness (CVA), the model WorldExecutiveGroup designed according to the usual international practice, was used to analyze enterprises’ sale’s income, total profits, asset margins, growth rate, industries’ differences and enterprises’ reputation. World Executive Group is a world leading strategic consultation and business media organization and its president is Robert Mundell, the Nobel Economics Prize winner.

The report suggested that 500 enterprises were selected that ranges from 9 industries including universal equipment manufacturing industries, transportation equipment manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industries, dedicated equipment manufacturing industries, instruments, meters and office machinery manufacturing industries, metal industries, comprehensive industries, communications equipment industries, computer and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries. Most of the selected industries were transportation equipment manufacturing industries, 140 in total, with a percentage of 28.00%; 126 electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industries were selected, about 25.20%; 119 universal equipment manufacturing industries, 23.80%.

This was the 14thChina Top 500 Machinery Industries Report since 2003. The unbalanced economic development in China resulted in the the unbalanced development of Chinese machinery industries and unbalanced location of top 500 machinery industries. Except Tibet and Ningxia, machinery industries from 29 provinces, autonomous districts and Municipalities directly under the Central Government were selected. 283 enterprises from the six provinces in East China were selected, about 56.60%, with Zhejiang (109), Jiangsu (60), Shanghai(42), Shandong(41) and Guangdong(36) as the provinces with most selected provinces. As one of 36 selected enterprises in Guangdong, Greatoo, one of the few private enterprises among the selected ones in Guangdong, was selected as the one of the top 500 machinery industries in China. With the ideas of “striking to be the leading enterprises and building the first class international quality”, Greatoo has kept on making progress in equipment manufacturing, tire molds, hydraulic curing press, high-end numerical control machine tool and industrial robot equipment and its brand has been recognized by foreign and domestic customers.
