In order to better organize the enterprise publication Greatoo News, in the morning of August 17th, we held the 2017 Greatoo News work symposium in the audio-visual conference room of Longgang Road factory. Editor-in-chief Wu Gong, reviewer Chen Zhiyong, editorial staff, the new correspondent and contributors of Greatoo News attended the symposium.

Editor Huang Minyan did a report first at the symposium. With the guidance of the leadership and the concerted efforts of all staff and departments, the editorial department has completed 171 period of Greatoo News. Last year, from 160th to 171th period, it published 187 articles, which was praised by the public and the staff. At the same time, we have to face many shortcomings, like insufficient submission and manuscripts, untimely submission time, etc.. We have taken measures correspondingly. In the future, we will improve the newspaper gradually. We will urge the correspondents to enhance themselves as well as expand the team, committing to the development of Greatoo News.

At the symposium, editor-in-chief Wu and reviewer Chen Zhiyong respectively issued a letter of appointment for the new correspondent and took pictures together. Subsequently, the correspondent and contribution activists talked about their work. Correspondent Wu Zi outlined his work in one word "Qinnengbuzhuo"(Diligence is the means by which one makes up for one's dullness). He said that in the creation of manuscripts, he was not competent enough. To not delay his own work but write timely reports, he had to spent more energy and time on observation, thinking and learning. Only in this way could he write good manuscripts.

Finally, Wu made a speech entitled "dare to practice, write often and think often". He also exchanged experience with the participants. Wu first talked about the history of Greatoo News and stressed that the annual Greatoo News work symposium should be held every year. He also profoundly analyzed the purpose of running Greatoo News, that is "public opinion-oriented, the spread of the masses, to run our company’s newspaper and let everyone involved". He suggested to improve Greatoo News’ literature with some published excellent articles, such as Boiled Frog Theory, Father’s Love as Mountains and so on, to encourage the correspondents to write more positive, readable and literary articles on the basis of political correctness. What’s more, the editorial members should follow the guidance of the leadership and "dare to practice, write often and think often" as well as write more high quality articles for Greatoo News.

Only root in the fertile soil, then it will flourish. With the efforts of all staff, Greatoo News will be able to leave its own mark in the history of Greatoo and write its new chapter.
